Snow is like a cheerleader,
Cheering winter
To stay,
And Spring
Not to come.

Silk, waving to me
in a soft, quiet, breeze in China.
The Dragon Celebration is about to begun.
Silk patterns remind me of a gorgeous,
handmade, multi colored, dragon.
Now, the Dragon Celebration has began.
Silk, waves to me in the hullabaloo.

Night Falls
Night falls like rain in shining pools,
shining and twinkling,
I never can avoid the darkness.

Trees move like a song,
Making me peaceful yet free,
Exited yet calm.
They sway to forest music,
Only stopping
when the wind crawls away,
the animals slip into their dens,
and the rivers stop rushing.

Spring is like part of a clock.
She builds herself
onto the year,
only to fall apart again
once it is through.
She’s always getting jammed by
snow left on the ground.
Sleeping animals awake
as her gears begin to spin.
Their joyful yawning tells
her it is getting warmer,
and she needs to continue on.
Spring is like part of a clock.
She builds herself
onto the year,
only to fall apart again
once it is through.

Stars,
why must you waltz around
the midnight sky?
How come you are
a twinkling pattern,
up in the night?
Each of you are in your own place,
so random, but so connected.
Always gleaming,
always remembering
sleeping children having their
dreams of being one of you.
Waltzing, twinkling, gleaming,
and remembering sleeping children
who are remembering you back.

K 2 stands high and proud like a giant upside down thumbtack with a round base and a sharp pointy peak, angry at lighting for striking him, when sat on they relish your scream of pain.

Rivers are shaped like the
veins in my hands.
squiggly and curved,
Swirling,
Curling,
turning.
not stopping
until they reach the
heart where the water is a shade of blue-green
and the rivers meet.

Painting ceramics is like baking a cake,
Adding color like adding rainbow tubes of icing,
Then into the kiln like a giant oven,
Only later can you know how it turned out.

July Raspberries

Raspberries glistens
in warm
July winds.
Bright red
strongly squirting
out pinches of
violet
sourness,
swinging in
packs of
raspberries,
in gusts of
July winds.

Snow falls like
powdered sugar,
drifting into my mouth,
melting my worries away.
I remember past years where the snow was
waist deep and fresh as newly baked cookies and
I would guard the sidewalks from shovelers.
but, Soon the snow will be gone,
melted away by springs coming,
waiting for next year,
almost there.
